The India GHG Program along with its founding member companies and select partners has set-up a high level working group for standardizing the process and methodology for road-based transport emission factors. The member's of the working group would meet in Chennai to establish the variables, assumptions, complexities within the local context and the relevance before embarking on a journey to standardize the process and publish country specific emission factors that could be used by corporates within India, in support of their GHG Inventorisation processes. Diverse set of stakeholders ranging from transportation experts, key service providers as well as automotive leaders are expected to attend the first working group meeting on road-level emission factors. The meeting would be convened over breakfast on the sidelines of the Greenco Summit in Chennai.
