The India GHG Program is organizing a post-COP 22 corporate consultation on the role of Indian industries in meeting India's INDC goals.
The purpose of this panel discussion will be to highlight the need for an enhanced regulatory framework within India to engage with businesses effectively. The outcome will involve a two-way discussion between policymakers and industry leaders, to delineate a roadmap for carbon pricing in India, including both market as well as non-market based mechanisms.
The India GHG Program is led by WRI India, CII and TERI. It is an industry-led voluntary framework to measure and manage greenhouse gas emissions. The programme builds comprehensive measurement and management strategies to reduce emissions and drive more profitable, competitive and sustainable businesses and organizations in India.
