Survey on GHG Inventorisation and Disclosure for Oil & Gas Industry in India

The India GHG Program led by WRI India, Confederation of India Industry (CII) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is an industry-led voluntary framework to measure and manage greenhouse gas emissions. The Program strives to build comprehensive measurement and management strategies to reduce emissions and drive profitable, competitive and sustainable businesses and organizations in India.

At present, there are no guidelines available for the recommended disclosures on Green House Gas (GHG) inventorization in the oil and gas industry. The disclosure of GHG Inventory has become tedious and time consuming for the various stakeholders involved. To streamline the processes involved in disclosing inventories, we are developing an India specific guidebook which can be followed by the companies working in the oil and gas industry across exploration, refining, transportation and distribution, retail and marketing, and power generation domains.
